What is Pilates and how does it differ from regular exercise?
Pilates is a method focused on mid-body stability, joint mobility and quality of movement. Reformer Pilates uses a special machine – the reformer – which works with controlled resistance and allows for very precise and effective deep muscle engagement.
Is Reformer Pilates suitable for beginners?
Yes. Reformer Pilates is suitable for complete beginners.
Classes are led by certified trainers who adapt the exercises to your level, experience and current fitness. No previous experience is necessary.
Will exercise help my back pain or posture?
Yes. Reformer Pilates focuses on the deep stabilizing muscles that are key to a healthy back and correct posture.
With regular exercise, there is a gradual release of tension and long-term improvement in movement habits.
How often should I practice Reformer Pilates to see results?
For visible and sustainable results, we recommend practicing at least 3-4 times a week.
This frequency improves strength, flexibility, posture and overall feeling of movement. The key is regularity, not impact exercise.
How long will it take to see the results of the Reformer?
Clients often notice the first changes, such as better posture or less back tension, after only 3-5 sessions.
Visible changes in physique and strength usually occur after 4-6 weeks of regular exercise.
Is Reformer Pilates suitable for men?
Yes. Reformer Pilates is a very effective strength and functional training for men as well.
It improves stability, mobility and movement control – areas that are often neglected in traditional strength training.
What is the difference between Reformer Pilates and classical Pilates on the mat?
The Reformer Pilates works with adjustable spring resistance, allowing for more precise guidance
of movement and greater exercise variability.
It is gentler on the joints and offers a higher level of control and intensity, making it suitable for beginners and advanced exercisers alike.
Why are springs used on the Reformer instead of weights?
The springs create a variable resistance that changes during the movement.
The body thus works smoothly, controlled and without “dead spots”, which increases the efficiency and safety of the exercise.
Is Reformer Pilates suitable even if I am not flexible?
Yes. Reformer exercises develop flexibility, not require it.
Exercise is always based on the body’s current capabilities and gradually builds range of motion in a natural way.
Can I combine Reformer Pilates with another sport?
Yes. Reformer Pilates is the ideal complement to sports such as:
– running
– cycling
– strength training
– yoga
It helps improve stability, range of motion and reduces the risk of overuse injuries.
